Mixcraft is a series of clinics focused on teaching the art of music production. The clinics feature insight on recording, mixing, mastering and production techniques from Grammy Winners Steven Baughman and Alex Elena. 

Seminar Topics:

Production: 
Defining the role of modern-day producers. From writing and arranging the songs to sound selection and vocal production.

Engineering: 
A look into mic-ing techniques, signal flow and levels. We’ll be discussing various situations from vocal chains, drum mic setups and piano recording. How best to get
analogue sounds in a digital world.

Mixing:
In depth looks at ProTools mixing in comparison to big console mixing. Discussing approaches to mixing and how you can apply the techniques to your own mixes. With discussions on reverbs, compressor, EQ’s and other effects.

Mastering:
A discussion on techniques that includes limiting, compressing, EQing and the importance of Mastering in the streaming age.    

Business Affairs:
Recording, Industry & label advice.

Software:
The talks won't have an emphasis on any particular software platform. Instead, we will focus on concepts and techniques that can be applied to any DAW….. Information that will massively improve your skills as a producer, whatever your chosen software.
